The match started in brisk pace as both regional counterparts hunted for goals, and a physical affair ensued.
The first try came from the hosts in the 16th minute. Striker http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Justin-Braun-c20148 broke through the Quakes midfield and fired a shot that went just wide of the right post, sending a clear message that the Goats meant business.
Just minutes later, Braun fed fellow forward Victor Estupinan with a through pass. The Ecuadorian launched a shot that was easily blocked by the Quakes goalkeeper, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jon-Busch-c18946.
Although the Rojiblancos were suppressed by the visitors in the midfield, they did create chances in the opposition box whenever they got hold of the ball.

SJ came into the second half full of surprises for the home team. Although they could not capitalize on the chances created in the penalty area, they did manage more possession in the midfield.
Chivas head coach, Robin Fraser, had to tinker with the line-up. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Nick-LaBrocca-c27715 was given a more advanced position.
Zemanski performed the playmaking role perfectly and distributed the ball all around. Due to his presence in the midfield, the front line was able to create some space.
Half-way into the second half, Braun threaded a ball to Zemanski, who did not hesitate for a moment and fired a bullet of a shot from 30 yards out that was out of Busch’s reach. It read 64 minutes on the clock and the ball knocked the back of the net to
give Chivas a lead.
The score provided the Goats with confidence and the team bossed the field for remainder of the game.
Like anticipated, the home side doubled their lead soon after. Substitute Francisco Mendoza dissected the SJ http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Defence-c38904 with a through ball to attacking midfielder LaBrocca, who found ample space to easily slot the ball home in the 84th minute. It
was LaBrocca’s fifth goal of the season.
The Goats now hit the road to visit LIVESTRONG http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Philadelphia-Union-c40231 on the same day.
