CD player in a pontiac grand am?

i have a 2004 pontiac grand am SE with the standard CD player. recently it has stopped working. the am/fm radio works fine but when i put a cd in it wont play. i put a cd in and the display says ERR but doesn't send the cd back out. i can manually eject it but usually when it's a problem with cd the car ejects it after saying ERR but this isn't a disc problem..its a disc player problem..any advice or help to fix it would be appreciated!

Go get a newCD player and then send me an E mail.

hey  try disconnecting the positive lead from your battery ad then putting it back on after like five minutes that may fix the problem because it resets everything in your car ..if that does not work pull the radio out and make sure all the wire and leads are still connected
