CD player keeps giving me an error 20 when i put in a CD?

i just bought the car 3 weeks ago and the cd player hasn't worked since i've gotten it.

i've tried cleaning the lens, and sometimes the CD player will read the disk and let it run, but it's rare.

what could be the problem?

It's just very dirty and can only read professional grade CDs. The remedy is to open the CD player and clean the disc with 70% Isopropyl Alcohol. Works for most, is it a AC Delco cd player? Happens to them I find all the time.
