I plug Sony portable CD/radio player into our garage outlet, works fine. Plug extension cord into same outlet and then CD player into extension cord to play outside, player spins in reverse totally out of control. Take same extension cord and plug it into outlet in house, player works fine. Can't figure it out!

  1. Something is wrong with your outlet, if the extension cord works properly with the CD player in a different outlet.

  2. My cd player never spins uncontrollably unless i open it and change the voltage setings like on my psx 1002, but i think the power was alternate current.

The power should be Direct Current as it is with my bombox because the radio needs a lot of power for the laser beams and the speakers to power up.

Don't take your radio apart because i did and it stopped working but i fixed the voltage on the laser and then it worked again the same but it voids my warranty.

  3. It's casper trying to make you go insane by listening to the beeltles backwards. Don't do what they day!

  4. its just rewinding the CD for you

  5. The plug polarity of the extension cord is reversed.  Try a different cord.
