CD rom not working for Acer Aspire 5630

Question

Whenever i put in a cd nothing pops up. One day i got a message that popped up randomly and said your CD DVD Rom has stopped working. I wasn't even using it! It worked for about 2 monthes then it strted shutting down on me wheever i was using a CD. And when i inserted in it said erorr and it would pop up! please helppp!
