CD versus Online Saving? Why invest in CDs?

Why would people invest in CDs when some of the Online Saving's yield are way higher. To make matters worse, its liquidable compare to CDS? So why people invest in CDs? Is there an advantage? Maybe people just dont know about it? ANY IDEAS?

because the yield on a savings account is often subject to change without notice, while a cd has a fixed interest rate for a fixed period of time.

One reason to invest in a CD is because the yield is guaranteed for the term of the CD.  The intrest rate on the savings account might drop at any time.
