CDA credential moving requirements?

I couldnt find any where on the webstie where it talked about this, so i thought i would ask, Is there different regulations for different states? if i take my CDA test in Missouri and i move to Louisiana would i have to retake the test and redo my resource file or take the classes over ?

I would think not since the office is in Washington DC. My friend came from Ohio and her CDA was fine for work here, in New Mexico.

OK first you need to make sure that you are getting a National CDA issued by the Council for Professional Recognition in DC.  Many states offer a CDA equivalent that is only recognized in that state.  A national CDA is recognized in most states.  I found this out when I moved from Maryland to Florida.  If you are interested in NAEYC centers, they only reconize the national CDA.

you will not have to retake the test over nor will you have to

redo the resource file. Once you take the test and pass your

CDA is valid all over the USA . I know because  I am doing

the same thing.

No, a CDA is a national credential with the same standards everywhere. What does differ from place to place is what you can do with a CDA. In NY you can be lead teacher in a day care classroom. That is not necessarily true everywhere.
