CEO of Genii Capital Eric Lux files official complaint against Adrian Sutil – Formula 1 news
Force India driver Adrian Sutil might have to face some “consequences” now as Eric Lux, the CEO of Genii Capital has recently filed an official legal complaint against the driver for the physical assault he made.
The assault Sutil allegedly made was during an after-race celebration of the Chinese Grand Prix hosted for celebration of Lewis Hamilton’s victory.
“There is a pending complaint for grievous bodily harm against Herr Sutil,” a spokesman for the prosecutor said.
Lux had a glass wound on his neck which was quite visible at the Turkish Grand Prix after which it was revealed that Adrian Sutil and the CEO of Genii Capital were involved in an argument following which Sutil hit Lux with a glass. The Force India driver
did admit his involvement in this incident but added that it was unintentional.
Nevertheless, Adrian’s manager Manfred Zimmermann stated that he and his driver are going to fight against this and hopefully, relieve Sutil of any sort of crime.
“We are confident the court will come to the conclusion that this was not about Adrian attacking anybody,” Zimmermann said.
The team released a statement that they will help their driver if this matter is taken too far as they support their drivers in any sort of matter.
Vijay Mallya, the team principal of Force India even stated that the team would have to take “appropriate action” in case Sutil is charged of any wrongdoing and that he himself would assess the situation then.
These are not the sort of problems the team wants to face at the moment as they claim that they are on the verge of some major improvements and that they are hoping of scoring some good results in the near future.
Force India have made their name in the sport in just a matter of almost 4 years and are hoping to stay in the sport for a long time.
Both Sutil and Paul di Resta have been performing pretty well up until now and they are hoping for some improvement in their car’s performance at the upcoming races.
