  1. Do diet sodas,no carbs.

Cutting out sugars is always good but you still need some.Have you tried frozen grapes for a snack?Cool, naturally sweet and no cheese left on your fingers.Do you like cheese? No carbs, cube some up. :)

  2. yummy and healthy snacks:

    grapes

    peaches (they are in season)

veggies with hummus or baba ganoush and pita chips

    edamame

    sugar snap peas

buy a microwave popcorn maker so you can make fat free, salt free popcorn (inexpensive too!) and flavor with your fave spices

soda water mixed with a bit of orange juice

    fresh tomato and basil salad

if you are really craving junk food, buy lay's baked potato chips. they are satisfying and not horrible for you!

  3. I think you're a little too extreme.  I consider myself healthy and eat a lot of that stuff.  Only I always read ingredients.

Almost all soda if fine as long as it doesn't have Aspartame. Cancer causer.

Chips are normally bad because they use hydrogenated oils, which are bed for you, soybean oil which kills brain cells, and canola oil aka rape seed oil which is really engine oil.  Kettle Chips doens't put that stuff in their chips.

    Also avoid MSG.

Ice Cream perfectly fine.  It's full pf calcium.

Basically you just need to read the ingredients, that's the most inporant thing.

  4. That's good- keep it up. Dried cranberries, dates, apples, bananas are nice.

  5. Instead of sugary treats, dieticians recommend fruits and vegetables, along with food that contains good fats like omega-3, lean protein and fiber. Some examples are nuts for lean protein and healthy fat, while hummus provides fiber and is tasty.

    Other tips for smart snacking:

        * Freeze fresh fruit such as bananas in a plastic bag, then take them out a couple of days later to blend with ice, soy or regular milk, and a bit of cocoa powder to make a smoothie.

        * Snack first, then get to other tasks. Trying to eat and do other things, even simple activities such as watching TV, can cause a person to overeat because they aren't paying attention.

        * Be selective when grocery shopping. A good rule of thumb is if you have it, you will eat it, so avoid buying unhealthy food such as doughnuts and snack cakes and load up on fruit, vegetables and whole grains.

        * Snacking is important to fuel the body — get that with a balance of protein, fat and carbohydrates all at the same time.

        * Pay attention to the times that you tend to get cravings each day, that way you can be armed with healthy food, instead of scrambling and settling for sugary snacks.
