CFL Video Game..?

Hey i was just wondering if anyone new anything about a CFL video game.........or if there making one or what..?

i personally dont think it will ever happen because of the money. however, the Nfl might decide to purchase a licensee to put the Canadian teams in the Madden games. Like the NHL game did by getting the AHL teams, but I still dont think it would happen.

Considering the Arena Football League got its own game...its possible.  As a previous answer stated, it likely wouldn't cost too much to just adjust a game like Madden to Canadian rules...but they would still have to have enough sales to justify said costs and a small market like Canada might have an issue with that.

I can't completely agree with the guy above me but I feel it may be true.  Two years ago a Canadian kid developed a curling video game which was released here in Canada.  Because of that, there's always hope that someone might develop a CFL video game.  In reality it most likely won't happen because of the small market but since it would require only minimum adjustments to the American game it is possible for them to do.  It does however seem likely that the game manufacturers would see it as a money losing venture.

Even if there was a CFL video game, it might have an appeal in Canada but in the States, where you have a bigger market since there are more people living there compared to here, the Madden NFL games will sell more copies. Even Canadian gamers buy the American football games.

Never heard of one.  I doubt a CFL specific one would ever be made, there wouldn't be enough sales to make any money, although I'd be interested in one.   Perhaps a company like EA (they are based in Canada after all) could simply make an expansion pack or something for their NFL game that lets you play w CFL teams and CFL rules.

By video game do you mean console or computer?

There was CFL-specific computer football game (CFL Football '99) several years ago, and its author has recently developed a new game, Maximum-Football (www.maximum-football.com) which supports CFL, NFL, arena, and other rules.
