CHANTIX - Started taking yesterday, today my mouth is dry and I'm coughing?

I just started taking Chantix yesterday, been about two full days I've been on it now, and starting today I've gotten a really bad dry mouth and I'm having a few coughing spells... has this happened to anyone else before who's taken it, or is this normal? Or maybe I'm getting a cold and it's just a coincidence? Didn't think I'd have reaction to the Chantix so soon... Thanks!

It's probably just a coincidence, although it is a slim possiblility that it's a side-effect.  Keep going with it though....it worked well for me, and I've been off the cigarettes for over a year now after smoking for decades.  Only one thing I'd like to mention; in the literature on Chantix they mention the possiblility of disturbing dreams, which did happen to me once in about the second week on Chantix.  That was it though, just the one realistic and bad dream.
