CHEAP vacation/plane tickets in the winter? WHERE?

My family and I are going on a vacation during the winter. we live in Texas, and we were wondering where to go. It has to be outside the US, and not Canada because we have to rewrite our VISAS and it has to be outside the country and not close.

Where is it pretty cheap? I searched up Costa Rica and its like $1500 per person...

The average price should be somewhere below $1000 per person. I heard Europe is pretty cheap in the winter time-i would love to go to europe again.

Usually during the winter, the warm places are expensive because people want to go there and escape from the cold.  

If you look up vacation packages to different places such as Europe, the prices may be lower and more affordable per person because the price would include airfare and hotel.

Check out places where there are lots of flights because the competition will be fiercer.  I would recommend looking up flights to London or Paris.
