Technically, they aren't part of Geneva. But I'm not personally fond of turturing any human regardless if they were the enemy. I was taught as a Marine to not treat our prisoners harsh nor inhumane. Chargeable of the UCMJ our commander made sure of it.   Not sure why the Army is allowed to go the extent without punitive action. Apparently it's allowed.

But not everyone of them are innocent as they seem themselves, he'll I'm responsible for 5 of them rotting in Gitmo and the deserve the harsh treatment that they put upon the citizens of Afghanistan, particularily the one that sliced the tongue of a teenage boy to avoid him from talking by giving us their (Taliban) whereabouts during one our cordon and search raid.  Most of them were child rapers to begin with.  But I won't get into that story- to h**l Al-Qaeda!

I don't know, if you were captured and TORTURED without ever even getting a trial by the military of the country that claimed they were invading your country to prevent acts like this, would you think it was ok?

Yes lets bring up bad acts by a very few of our young fighting men and women or were placed in a position of authority over men who would kill them in a second when their backs ere turned.

Yes let us again turn all the apples bad in the barrel. Of course this is not how we should treat our prisoners.  But in a perfect world there wouldn't be terrorists, prisoners or the need for a large standing army to dissuade our enemies.
