  1. CHRISTOPHER COLUMBUS WAS CHRISTIAN & WHEN HE ARRIVED IN SOME PLACES HE LIKES 2 SAY HE DISCOVERED HE KILLED PEOPLE IF THEY DIDNT CONVERT 2 CHRISTIANS....

  2. He discovered the Carribean which led to the discovery of the 2 Americas, North and South

  3. Increase Spains landholdings

    Find gold/treasure/income for Spain

Enslaved a new race of people

Opened European peoples mind to the idea of land masses to the west.

  4. Columbus found a way for Spain to make money.

  5. After your project, and for one, google this question.  But after you are done, google how many indians died immediatly as a result of his 'voyage' history is found beyone the pages of school books.

  6. he personally initiated the process of Spanish colonization which foreshadowed general European colonization of the "New World'

  7. He found the Caribbean islands... he never actually found America. Magellan (<<sorry about the spelling) did.

  8. Well he discovered a new untouched land that was soon (in the next 50-100 years) to be occupied then colonized by the Europeans.. an extraordinary opportunity for all European kingdoms to expand their land and power. His discovery changed the history of the world. Another achievement of that discovery lead to the understanding of the globe's shape.. as he was one of the first people of the era to claim that the earth is indeed round. He brought back several metals (that he believe was gold but it wasn't).

    That's all I can think of :)
