okey soooo i have to do a powerpoint in SPANISH about relationship between America and Mexico during the battle(i know that U.S.A helped Mexico in the battle after civil war in U.S.A) By realtionship i mean is that were U.S. and Mexico were friendly???? I think they weren't becasue tht time they just had mexican-american war. I tried to find it but i couldn't..........

I need help... if u know anything about the relationship then plz tell me. also try to tell me the sourcesssssssss.

    The US wanted the best purchase price it could get for the South Western States and California, and it didn't want Napoleon having an influence in the Western Hemisphere, so the US offered

  2. The battle was between the Mexican army and the mighty French army who was defeated in Puebla, but was able to move on... Anyway, 5 de Mayo was the day of victory for our troops.

    The only connection I find is that Benito Juárez, the president back then declared bankrupcy and stop payments to other countries including the US. But they were not involved at all, England, Spain and France were the ones that came to Mexican shores to invade the country but the English and the Spaniards agreed to go back. Only France tried the invasion and to stablish Maximiliano de Hasburgo as the emperor, but failed.
