Let me get a little more detailed, I was born abroad of an American Mother. Then they moved back to the USA and got me the famous green card class ir7 when i was 4 years old in 1983. After 5 or so years my father got naturalized around 1990 and listed us of course as children... would i have obtained citizenship through my father autmatically when he became citizen.. I was 10 at the time??? I am now older than 18 but i heard you can file certificate of citizenship any time in your life.

question 2 was i a citizen since that day my dad got naturalized?

  1. You can get a certificate of citizenship.  You simply file Form N-600 with the USCIS.

You should have been a citizen by birth.  Why didn't your mother register your birth at the US embassy in the country where you were born?

It looks like you got it along with your father on the same day.

********Use your mother's US passport or get a new certificate for her....

  2. According to chart 3 of the Nationality Charts, it appears that you became a citizen on the date that your father naturalized because it was on that day that both your parents were U.S. citizens, you were a permanent resident, and you were under 18.

If your mother lost her report of birth abroad and cannot replace it, you're left with no choice but to use her current passport unless she has a Certificate of Citizenship like the one you're trying to get.

You appear to be a U.S. citizen. Now........proving it might be a challenge, but you can do it.
