Okay. So I need to write an essay paper about a topic in Climate Change! NOT THE WHOLE THING IN GENERAL BUT one topic.

I want to do a very interesting topic that a lot of people wouldn't think of doing.

I know a lot of my peers are doing "what are the causes of climate change?" and What are the consequences?"

I want to do something unquie.

Please help me think of a topic in Climate Change! Thank you!

  4. How about:

THE NEXT ICE AGE - NOW!

It's not Global Warming, it's Ocean Warming

Did your teachers ever tell you about the El Nino & La Nina effects on weather??

  5. Here's an idea that I had on a previous question that received best answer from the asker, 10 points for me, and also applies to your question:

    Global warming is...

    the bad news:

The melting of the many glaciers around the world that have existed for thousands of years. If Antarctica and Greenland, the last remaining ice caps, melt, then we've got some serious problems, like major and permanent coastal flooding of heavily populated areas and increased turbulence in weather patterns.

A few remaining people do not understand that the melting of glaciers and ice caps is permanent. Once they've melted they are gone. They have existed, frozen for thousands of years. To have them melt in a few generations is unprecedented.

So people see winters and cold weather return every year, but they do not seem to realize that this isn't restoring the glaciers and ice caps of the north and south poles. Every summer, more and more of these ice caps melt. It is documented fact.

The next step is seeing if we can deal with more turbulence in the weather and coastal flooding that is being predicted and how that effects other systems and conditions in our world.

    the good news...

We have a good understanding of what is happening to the world. The question is, "How quickly can the economies of the world retool themselves to deal with the disasters posed by global warming?" A lot of things are being done already, we have to see how soon our efforts will bring positive results.

Hopefully, in the end, we shall not be the catalyst of our own destruction, but instead, the catalyst of our own genesis.

Well, that's about it, in a nutshell. Hope this gives you some great ideas for your essay. I was thinking you could write a paper that explains and references what scientists are predicting as far as the coastal flooding and other global warming related phenomena like unprecedented  heatwaves that have occurred across Europe and North America recently (show what the latest reports are from scientists and what they predict), but then also show all the things big corporations, governments and people in general are doing to respond to and possibly avoid these predicted disasters due to global warming.

The economies of the world today are imperiled due to possible recession as well as, ironically, the foreseeable dwindling of natural resources. The industries that are responding to the call to find alternative resources can possibly reduce or even eliminate future disasters that have been predicted, like the effects from global warming. It is just a matter of how fast these industries and the growing number of people involved in them can bring about positive change.

You sometimes hear about these efforts in documentaries and the various commercials of big corporations. But sometimes, it doesn't seem like it's enough and not enough attention is given to this topic of how we are responding to global warming to help save our world for our children and future generations. Your essay could be an important voice added to the growing chorus that aims to prevent the disaster of global warming.

NOTE: Climate change that is melting glaciers is not limited to the north and south poles. Isolated glaciers around the world, like the Alps in Europe, Kilimanjaro in Africa, the glaciers of the southern Andes Mountains in Chile and Argentina, to name a few places are also disappearing permanently and affecting the local communities that used to survive on the ice water that used to melt off these glaciers, but now no longer exists or is disappearing rapidly

  6. what about......"How reliable is the temperature data that is used by climatologists?

    Check out the link below.

  7. Every one of these is contentious.  If you do not want to see emotional responses, don't do any of these.

Does climate science conform to the scientific method?

Is the medieval warm period a myth?

Is the little ice age a myth?

Is CO2 a good predictor of global temperature?

    Is climate change anthropogenic?

Is scientific "truth" decided by consensus?

Are the most popular/common claims supported by the science?

What is the role of propaganda in the climate change debate?

  8. how about global warming does not exist?

  9. What islands are going to be underwater in the next 50 years... here is a website to help you get started....
