The match-schedule for the of the upcoming Champions League Twenty20 2012 has been announced, with one of two opening matches due to be played between the Kolkata Knight Riders (Indian Premier League 2012 champions) and the Delhi Daredevils in South Africa
this October.

if not more successful, than the 2010 edition. The tournament will feature the world’s top players, and we can be assured of some exceptional cricket.”
The fourth edition of the CLT20 – among the most lucrative T20 competitions in the world – involves 29 matches and 14 teams. The tournament comprises a qualifying phase which will be played from October 9 to 11, after which the actual event is scheduled
to be played from October 13 to 28. Four South African cities will play host to the event - Centurion, Johannesburg, Durban, and Cape Town.
The qualifying stage includes two pools, each containing 3 teams, out of which the two top teams will move on to the main event. The group stage will include two groups, comprising 5 teams each, out of which the two top teams will move on to the semi-finals.
The opening day of the tournament features a double-header – the SuperSport Park in Centurion will play host to an encounter between South Africa’s Titans and Australia’s Perth Scorchers, as well as a clash between the KKR and the Daredevils. The semi-finals
of the tournament will be played in Centurion and Durban, while the final is scheduled to be played at the New Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg.
