so im going to club merverde and people say its 4star but my tour person said that its impossible to make a reservation because everyone loves it there. its in bodrum , turkey.

so..IS IT ANY GOOD????????

We have just returned from a wonderful and unexpectedly eventful week at Marverde. This was our first experience of Sunsail Clubs and we weren't disappointed - we certainly agree with all the positives mentioned in other reviews. However, rather than repeat all these comments we wanted to specifically describe the events that took place at the beginning of the week and thank all the local and foreign Sunsail staff who looked after us all so well.

We knew something was up when the sun disappeared in a cloudless sky - sitting out in the bay on the first day of a powerboat course we looked up to see black smoke billowing from the forest behind the hotel. Not immediately alarmed we headed for the shore just as the black flag was raised to call everyone back to the beach. Suddenly the rescue boats were rushing to the outer bay to bring everyone back in safely. Joining the rest of the family in the bar we all realised that the fire was heading our way. We managed to grab a few essentials from the room as we were evacuated to the front of the hotel.

By this stage the flames were leaping high in the air across the hillside and getting ever closer. The fire planes and helicopters were flying low overhead dropping water to try to save the hotel as the whole hotel population started to leave the resort by foot across to the next bay. The staff were offering cold water and drinks and checking everyone was accounted for and OK. We eventually arrived at a small beach where we waited whilst the staff planned the next move. Soon a number of coaches arrived and we all taken off to the Maya resort where we were welcomed by the staff who, along with the Sunsail kitchen staff kept 400 people fed and supplied with drinks whilst we relaxed by the pool.

By the early evening it was clear that we werent going back to Marverde that evening and we were kept updated by the staff on the alternative plans. Later we were all moved by coach to two luxury hotels in Bodrum where everyone was put up for the night - free food and drinks were available and new tee-shirts were offered to those who had left in a hurry. Some staff had returned to Marverde to collect medication and other essentials from peoples rooms.

After a gut busting breakfast the next day were were delivered back to Marverde by lunchtime to find that everything was back up and running.

The staff at all levels dealt with this evacuation superbly, always remaining positive and making sure that no compromises were taken in our comfort. If there was any panic it certainly wasn't apparent to us. The Turkish people showed us all generous and selfless hospitality at every stage of the journey.

The people that Sunsail employ at this resort deserve a special bonus from their managers - they have secured custom from this family for many years to come.

Just as a footnote - why does such a great holiday have to start and finish with a Last Choice Airway's flight (sorry First Choice Airways) - this is a really unpleasant way to fly. They even wanted to charge for blankets to keep our children warm. The staff on the return flight were the exact opposite of those at Sunsail. Sunsail - please remove yourself from the clutches of low-rent First Choice.

1- first is nice place

    2-its a club so if you knew what you have there it's perfect but if you dont you cant find any thing  "aske about the place in the begining & you will love it

I friend of mine went there once and said she really enjoyed it.  There was not many english people there - but i know she had a good time.

I just emailed her and she gave it a 7/10
