  1. CO

Carbon Monoxide is more like Car Exhaust.

CO2 Is what's inside your fizzy coca-cola, but large doses in the air can choke you.

  2. its CO ,

even we can live in envirornment with  CO2 up to 21%, we can't in envirornment wiith >5%.. of CO..

  3. CO

  4. They both suffocate you but CO actually fits into the O2 receptors so in a sense it will take less CO than CO2 to kill you because your body will start rejecting O2 for CO.

  5. CO2

  6. Carbon Monoxide (CO) is poisonous even in small amounts (several parts-per-million can be poisonous). CO2 exists naturally as a significant proportion of the atmosphere, but is still dangerous.

  7. Carbon dioxide can suffocate us, if concentration is high enough. It has some secondary toxicity - it causes our blood's pH to decrease (ie. become more acidic), a condition known as acidosis, and reduces our ability to carry oxygen. This is why CO2 becomes dangerous at much lower than saturated conditions.

However, CO is far more dangerous. It is directly toxic - it binds to haemoglobin in our red blood cells irreversibly, preventing it from carrying oxygen. It also has some neurotoxic effects and combined with low oxygen carriage in the blood can result in brain damage.

In short, 40,000ppm CO2 is regarded as dangerous, whereas a concentration of 400ppm CO can be fatal.
