COBRA-PUMA Golf renews contract with Golf Retirement Plus
Cobra Golf, the manufacturer of one of the finest golf equipments, has decided to renew its contract with the Golf Retirement Plus.
This was confirmed by the Senior Vice-President and General Manager of COBRA-PUMA Golf, Brian Zender in a press conference in Florida.
He emphasised on the long trusted partnership between the two parties and said, “Cobra Golf has focused on business practices that benefit PGA Professionals throughout our 37-year history. We are pleased to renew our commitment to The PGA of America through
continued support of Golf Retirement Plus. We look forward to further developing our relationship with The PGA and its outstanding professionals as we develop and grow our unique brands.”
Allen Wronowski, president of Professional Golfers Association America endorsed the statement given by Zender. He said, “Quality and service mean everything to our membership. Cobra Golf has built a special record in both categories that have kept up with
the changes of our industry. We are most pleased to have COBRA-PUMA Golf renew its commitment to support our men and women professionals through Golf Retirement Plus.”
Cobra Golf is a brand which is recognised for its versatility and advance technology in producing golf equipment. The origin of the company dates back to 1973, when an Australian amateur golf champion Thomas Crow decided to manufacture golf clubs for amateurs
and professionals. For 37 years, he delivered the finest equipment and accessories to the golf fraternity. However, in 2010, the company was bought by the PUMA Group- another sports brand. The merger expanded the global reach of both the companies and soon
the brand was being recognised for the best golf clubs, footwear, apparel, and accessories.
On the other hand, PGA America started a retirement program for professionals, trainees, Golf Course Superintendents Association of America, and Club Managers Association of America. The program provided a facility to the people attached with golf to contribute
and enjoy the pension program after retirement.
Cobra Golf and Golf Retirement Plus joined hands in 1997 to serve the retired people associated with golf. The duo has extended its contract for multiple years in a deal that took place on Tuesday. However, the span of the contract has not been disclosed.
