Which is better for what duty? Is hot or cold better for vehicles, side walks, vinyl siding, windows, brick buildings/houses, wood, removing paint/stains, etc. And also- what is a good PSI for these sort of things? Thinking between 2000 and 4000? What is best..? Thanks!

  1. Hot units are best for greasy projects, engines, equipment, etc.  Cold works fine for most other projects.  Hot will be much more expensive to buy and to maintain.  Look at the water flow required to operate your unit.  A lot of houses don't have much water flow and a high flow unit might burn up due to lack of water flow into it.

  2. Do you use cold water to wash your greasy dishes after dinner, Hot water is good for grease.

A washer can be used without the heater on, so you have both.

When you use heat around some stuff, soap will not be needed, so you save that expense.
