Question:

COld Solder/Short

Here is a strange one. If I lean the whole TV forward, I have no problems. When I sit it correctly, the picture and sound shut off, and the LED blinks. It's probably a cold solder. The silver box that the cable input plugs into seems to be the issue. What is this silver box (It appears to be fuses?), and has anyone heard of this? Shaking the cable itself does no good, it only works if I lean it forward, which takes pressure off of the chassis. The tv is not old, and the picture and sound are fantastic. It's never seen hard use/abuse, and has never been moved since it was placed in it's current location. I'm good with solder, and a mechanic, so small tool use is not a problem, I just don't know what not to touch for safety reasons. Thanks.
