Hi. I just want to know during the CPA exam...do they hand out anything or give us numbers such as foreign income limitation, sort of interests or do we have to memorize those numbers? I'm getting crazy because I learned in 2006 and 2007 they change the numbers like phrase out, limitations on foreign income, an ect. Helpppppppp.

  1. You are not given any information in the multiple choice section.  I took the test a couple of years ago - when it first switched to computerized - but I don't remember too many questions where I actually had to have any of that information memorized.  However, if there were some, there were few enough that I could miss them and still be OK ( I passed on my first try).  There are some resource tabs when you get to the simulation section, but none on the multiple choice.

  2. Don't sweat it. They won't ask you to memorize tables and such, especially when those things change each year. If you need that info, it will be provided. However, you will need to know all the rules because the questions are tricky and seem to have multiple answers.
