CPU Usage explorer.exe?

my explorer.exe keeps raising my cpu to like 50% to like 100% ive tryd everything to make this stop tuns of dif cpu scanners how can i fix this can there be a hidden virus some where in it if i end task it it turns off like my desktop icons and my tool bar an everything makes me have to reboot then it goes back to 0 but when i enter some folders an stuff it will just go back up help plz!

  1. explorer is basically what windows uses to run... get worried when iexplorer does that.

    if you turn off the explorer.exe  it will reload. and depending what is running it may require a restart.


  2. not sure but i would definitely delete any cookies and such in the tools. otherwise perhaps you could repair windows with the set up- boot disc. i'm curious how much ram and proc speed you have too.
