CPU decision making help?

Im buying a new computer from dell but dont know if its worth going $50 more for a intel Quad core 2.5GHz or keeping the intel core 2 duo 2.4GHz but im trying to keep money tight but is a quad core a big advantage for gaming and speed?

Buy the quad core one

1) Future proof your computing

2) More programs will be coming out for dual core it will be better to run them

3) $50 is a cheap upgrade now. to do it later will cost you a lot more
