Question:

CPU running slow, thought I removed trojan, still having problems?

I have been having major computer problems lately (Pop ups appearing whenever I'm using IE, slow overall CPU, and some pages will not load) and tried several things. I ran Spyware, Adaware, Norton Virus Scan, and the Google Spyware Remover. I also downloaded Mozilla Firefox. The pop-ups have stopped and a trojan was removed, however, my computer is still running slow and I cannot access certain websites (Facebook.com etc).

Thanks in advance for the help

  1. You are infected with spyware if:

    * Your browser has toolbars that you haven't installed.

    * Your homepage has changed (and you can't change it back).

And you need to post more information, And Trojan's are a type of virus that when you think it does something you want, it does something else, Like, A game, You install the game, and the Trojan also installs other things, So, Just removing the Trojan won't really help, It probally installed spyware and things like that, So you need to run more scans.
