CREDIT RATING GOOD BUT ?

applied for a catalogue and they sent one then i ordered a washing machine but they wrote and said no. they said my credit rating was fine and nothing "un favourable" had been recorded so why will they not accept this order?

  1. Because it's your first order............. you have to order things of less value first and show them that you are a good payer then they will let you have larger more expensive items.


  2. Because for a first order it is too higher value. Your limit is £150 for first order, once you start paying it off, your limit will increase.

    You would be better off going to Comet for a washer, on finance. If it breaks down it'll be easier to get fixed, than a mail order company.

These two answers are so correct, it is probably because you are new and this is your first order, they don't want you to purchase one of their higher priced items and then run out on them.  So, for a new customer, they will start you out with a lower limit.   They should have given you a credit limit when they approved your account for this catalog.
