  1. I think you should perhaps have a look at  the crf230f as at 15 you would be too big for a crf150f and would have no room to grow on the bike.  The crf230f doesnt have a kick start and is electric start and also not designed for loads of jumping, but meant to be very good for trail riding.

  2. if you have the choice... the 230F is a fantastic bike for the woods and trails...the suspension is horrible if you put it on a MX track and try to jump it more than 10 feet. but in the trails is where this bike loves to be....the front suspension can be change up some by using a heavier fork oil and preload spacers. in the rear you can change springs and adjust the preload. until mine was stolen... I could hang with any of my friends on their 450Rs. some of that may be attributed to them calling me crazy....I actually think that the 230F is the best bike honda made...easy to work on easy to modify and that magic button...ahhh the good ole days!!!!

  3. for tracks or trails with alot of jumps the 150 but if its just normal trails the 230 or u could just get 125 2-stroke =)

  4. go with the new crf 150f, if you are into racing, jumping big, but if you are just wanting to ride for fun on trails go with the 230. you will save money. But like i said if your into racing the 150 has a better top end, suspension, and you have more options for upgrades. (pipes, suspension, engine upgrades). The 150 is lighter than the 230 but if you are shorter the 230 has a lower seat height. But if i had to chose id definitely go with the 150.

  5. I think some folks here are confusing the 150F and 150R. I have ridden the 150F and 230F. If you are tall enough, which I'm sure you are at 15, you definitely want the 230. The 150F is very under powered. Yes the suspension on both the 150 and 230 suck for any hard ridding but they are fine for normal trail ridding. There is really nothing you can do to make the suspension better without spending a fortune. BBR does make shock and fork springs that will stiffen them up but it also makes the suspension very harsh. I used a 230F as a pit bike for a couple years and it is one of the most fun bikes I've ever ridden, even though it's certainly not the fastest or best handling.

  6. honestly i rode with my friend who got a CRF150 and he does motocross and i wasnt impressed with it. plus they jsut came out so id give them a few years to work all the issues out with them.

Look at the Yamahas they have a TTR 230 It will give you room to grow into it and also if you want to do some jumping the TTR 230 is awesome on the track and its a good bike off road.
