Chennai Super Kings’ coach, Stephen Fleming, has asked respective cricket boards to take appropriate measures in order to manage the workload of International players.
The recently-appointed Indian skipper, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/West-Indies-c760 due to the injury which he picked up during the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL).
However, Fleming believes that the players should not be blamed for participating in the lucrative Twenty20 and it is the individual board’s responsibility to ensure that the players are not pushed into such circumstances where they have to pick from league
and country.
The former Kiwi skipper described that there must be not a case of IPL outfit versus country and the decision regarding the number of games each player is supposed to play, should be left on the cricket board of each country.
"It is upto the individual boards to decide about bringing stipulations on the number of matches. If the boards are not http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Arthur-Percival-Day-c45927 with the amount of cricket being played they should put stipulations on it," Fleming said.
The Chennai coach further put it simple words that it is very hard for players to deny playing in IPL since there is so money involved. However, he clarified that it is not only the money which attracts players towards IPL but also the desire to perform
well in the competitive cricket.
"It is hard for the players to say no. Each game is important. As a professional cricketer, it is one's responsibility to play. IPL has value for the BCCI as it is not a competition that is played in off-shore. It is a genuine cricket tournament and it is
important to the Indian landscape," the former Kiwi skipper added.
Meanwhile, Fleming lauded http://www.senore.com/Cricket/SK-Raina-c2539 for showing a lot of passion in the competition despite the fatigue factor.
When asked about his team’s performance so far in the tournament, the CSK coach heaped special praise on every player for demonstrating a fantastic performance in the first qualifier against Royal Challengers Bangalore.
