CSKA Moscow director general, Roman Babaev, has confirmed that the Russian Premier League club is still willing to sign Matias Suarez from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/RSC-Anderlecht-c40394 despite signing Vagner Love earlier this week.
The Moscow-based club, who have been lacking enough firepower in the striking department after losing out Tomas Necid and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Seydou-Doumbia-c33175 due to injuries, re-signed Love after selling the Brazilian forward to the Brazilian outfit
last year.
According to a source, the 28-year-old attacker signed a three-year contract at Luzhniki stadium after agreeing personal terms and conditions. However, it is also reported that Love cannot return to Brazil no earlier than eighteen
months even if any offer comes.
In the Brazilian championship, the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Palmeiras-c40165 player scored 13 goals in 36 league appearances.
Babaev admitted that he is happy to sign Love again and assured the fans of more business in the ongoing winter transfer window.
“We have reached an agreement in principle with Love and we can extend the contract with him for another year or two. We got him without compensation package to the Brazilian club. So, from an economic point of view, CSKA made
a successful transaction.”
“Love is very satisfied and happy to comeback and so are we.”
“Usually there are a lot of technicalities in a contract but we are fortunate that we got him in the end after continuous efforts.”
“Moreover, Love is functionally ready as compared to the rest of our guys because he has been training in Brazil.” The 34-year-old was quoted as saying.
Babaev went on to tell the fans that CSKA still holds an interest in Suarez, whom they tried to sign a deal during summer. The Armeytsy failed to conclude business with the Belgian outfit after Suarez failed to pass the medical
examination at Moscow.
Since then Suarez, who scored 12 goals in 35 league appearances last season, has been linked with a host of top European clubs including Paris Saint-Germain and Borussia Dortmund.
