Leonid Slutsky believes CSKA Moscow have had a good Russian Premier League season so far and urged his men to gear up for the third league round.
While CSKA Moscow head coach, Leonid Slutsky, is unsure about his future role at the Moscow-based club, the Russian tactician is almost certain about the departure of the Koni striker, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Vagner-c35793 Love, in the upcoming winter transfer
window.
If speculations are to be believed, the Armeytsy are keeping tabs on the Champions League winning Rafael Benitez to replace Slutsky.
Vagner Love had reiterated his desire to return to the Brazilian outfit, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Flamengo-c39361, earlier this month. However no club has agreed to sign the Russian Cup winner following the valuation set by the Russian outfit.
Staying on the topic, Slutsky revealed that Love has been brilliant for the Russian outfit since his mouthwatering move from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Palmeiras-c40165 and assured the fans of maintaining the good league run in his absence.
Meanwhile, the former Uralan Elista manager admitted to the slight possibility of the star striker staying at the Russian outfit. Slutsky revealed that CSKA will be glad to keep the in-form striker, should Love fail to find his
desirable club.
“I'm ready for his departure but I think he has enough time to find his destination. If he will decide to stay we’ll be equally happy. Any thing is possible at the moment.” The Russian Cup winner was quoted as saying.
He went on to reveal that Love has huge potential to grow further and gave the example of Samuel Eto’o. Following the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan striker’s big money move to the Russian top division, he has excelled in his performances,
having scored 8 goals in 11 league appearances.
Speaking on CSKA’s current season performances, the former FC Moscow man admitted that the Koni have done fine but urged them to extend their good league run while progressing to the quarter-finals of the continental tournament.
“The current season has been ambiguous, but probably still successful. I won the Russian Cup for the very first time and we progressed to the knock-out stages of the Champions League.” Slutsky said.
