The former Krylia Sovetov Samara manager has lend support to the Moscow-based club despite their below par start to the Russian Premier League campaign
FC Khimki head coach, Aleksandr Tarkhanov, has expressed his disbelief over CSKA Moscow’s nightmare start to the Russian Premier League campaign, as the club has picked up just three points of a possible nine.
Though CSKA had a decent start to the Russian championship after claiming a 1-0 win against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Rostov-c39192, they failed to meet the expectations after suffering back-to-back defeats against Amkar Perm and Zenit St. Petersburg respectively.
Tarkhanov admitted that the Moscow-based club have failed to please their fans around the world, stating that they need to alter the situation if they are to reclaim the league title this season.
“I cannot say that there are unsolvable problems at CSKA. They need to stick together at this time. They need to take responsibility. We are good at counter-attack but we need to think about the positional attack,” The former Torpedo
Moscow manager was quoted as saying.
There is little arguing to the statement that the Armeytsy were on the brink of reclaiming the league title last season.
However, Zenit leapfrogged them during the third league round despite dominating the league table for much of the last season. According to some senior analysts, CSKA started to drop more points in the league after http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Vagner-c35793 Love’s
departure to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Flamengo-c39361 in January.
Though the Army-men managed to sign two attackers in the form of Pontus Wernbloom and Ahmed Musa from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/VVV-Venlo-c40915 this winter, they failed to pick up points on the table.
With http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Seydou-Doumbia-c33175 injured for an indefinite period after sustaining a back injury and Tomas Necid on the brink of leaving Luzhniki stadium this summer, CSKA are struggling upfront.
The Red-blue have signed http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Rasmus-Elm-c30628 and Matias Suarez from Alkmaar and Anderlecht respectively. The 57-year-old hailed CSKA’s transfer policy, admitting that the newcomers will benefit the Moscow-based club in the near future.
Tarkhanov revealed that the Koni have concluded some good business in the transfer market this summer, and insisted that the new signings will help them regain the self confidence.
