As the race for the UEFA Champions League spot heats up, CSKA Moscow will play the upcoming Russian Premier League tie against Spartak Moscow. The last time these two teams met in a league competition, the Armeytsy sealed a win
against the Red-whites.
Former Torpedo Moscow defender, Oleg Kornaukhov, has urged CSKA to carry on their quest to claim a European spot this season by winning the upcoming crunch league tie against the Myaso this Saturday.
As things stand, CSKA are at the fourth-spot in the league and trail the second-spot by just 3 points.
Kornaukhov went on to admit that the Koni have been inconsistent during the third league round, having claimed just 1 win in 9 outings. He revealed that the Russian outfit failed to meet fans' expectations, and that their key players
failed to maintain their fitness for much of the season.

rooms. However, the team is fighting for second place and has a good chance of winning the Champions League place." The Russian Cup winner was quoted as saying.
The former Terek Grozny player went on to admit that Spartak are a decent side. However, he added that CSKA can claim all three points against them as the Red-whites are low in confidence after being beaten by Anzhi Makhachkala
at home.
