It was Dzagoev’s second sending off of the season after the midfielder picked up a straight red card in the second round of the Russian championship against Amkar Perm at Luzhniki stadium.
The 22-year-old received his marching orders during the second-half of the match after making a harsh challenge.
The Russian football Union will now announce a decision to penalize the 22-year-old attacking midfielder later this week after watching the videos of the fight between the two players. Reports in Russian media suggest that Dzagoev
might serve a five-match ban.

According to the Article 94 of the disciplinary regulations:"If a person commits a repeated (two or more times in two or more different games) disciplinary offense specified in this Part, the jurisdictional authority has the right

Dzagoev has apologized to the fans and the entire team for his misconduct in their latest match, saying that he could not hold back his emotions after seeing his side losing the derby match.
However, the former Krylia Sovetov Samara player assured the fans of improving with the passage of time.
“I could not hold back emotions, for what I want to apologize to the team and the fans. I have to blame myself for what I did on the field and no one else. Wilkshire provoked me right from the start of the first-half that’s why

Dzagoev requested the senior officials for mercy, saying that he will try to control his emotions on the pitch in the near future.
