CSKA Moscow’s Keisuke Honda speaks about his injury layoff – Russian Premier League news
CSKA Moscow midfielder, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Keisuke-Honda-c20516, has been on the sidelines since September after sustaining a knee injury in a Russian Premier League encounter against arch rivals Spartak Moscow.
However, the promising midfielder is upbeat over his recovery and admitted that he is counting every single day of his rehabilitation period, which has stolen a handful of important games from him.
Honda has revealed that he is working really hard to get back on the pitch.
“Everything is going fine. My knee is getting better and better. I do not want to speed up the process of my treatment, because I know that next year is very important for the team. So I need some more time. I want to thank the fans for their patience and
I want to tell them that I am completely focusing on rehabilitation.” The AFC Asian Cup winner was quoted as saying.
He added: “By nature, I am a fighter. Currently I have started jogging, doing some gaming exercises but the knee is still not ready for a proper training session.”

CSKA suffered a humiliating 4-0 defeat against Dynamo Moscow, which is their biggest defeat of the ongoing season, immediately after Honda’s layoff which is a clear indicator of his worth.
Things became complicated for the Koni in the group stages of the UEFA Champions League as they struggled without their star midfielder, who had helped them reach the later stages of the Champions League last year.
CSKA have won a single match from the four group stage encounters; as things stand they are at the second spot on the group table.
The Russian Cup winner went on to admit his frustration on watching matches from the sidelines rather than help the Russian outfit. He admitted that there were times when he did not feel positive about his injury but insisted that he managed to keep his
focus on the recovery process.
Meanwhile, Honda refused to specify a return date and paid tribute to the club doctors who have helped him throughout the lengthy spell on the treatment tables.
