CSKA Moscow built the pressure early on by scoring one before the break and the Brazilian added another goal after the restart to cement a next round berth for his team.
“Of course, I liked the second goal more. The first was beautiful too because of the brilliant pass, but the second was well taken and well struck. Every time I go out into the field, I try to play as best as possible and as a CSKA Moscow player, it should
be done in every game,” Vagner Love was quoted as saying.
The defending Russian cup champions, CSKA Moscow, were eliminated from the Russian cup recently and the former Palmeiras striker bemoaned the loss at hands of FC Volgar-Gazprom Astrakhan. Vagner Love believes his team ran out of luck in the tie.
“We have a team of champions and we need to work well. What happened in Astrakhan was an accident.” The 27-year-old said while lamenting the loss.
