Roberto Carlos hails the Brazilian national’s move to his preferred childhood club and wished him a successful career after leaving the Russian Premier League.
CSKA Moscow have agreed to sell their star striker, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Vagner-c35793 Love, to Flamengo after weeks of negotiations with the Brazilian outfit. If speculations are to be believed, the 27-year-old is set to make an emotional return to his former
club in a reported 9 million Euros deal.
However, the Campeonato Brasileiro Serie A club will pay the fee in instalments over the next three years.
Anzhi Makhachkala captain and Love’s compatriot, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roberto-Carlos-c31317, has confirmed the deal and revealed his satisfaction upon his transfer.
“Vagner Love has completed his move to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Good-Luck-c39444 brother.” The UEFA Super Cup winner was quoted as saying.
It was earlier reported that the Armeytsy had turned down the Vultures' 6 million Euros bid, deeming it too low an offer. CSKA President, Yevgeni Giner, had however refused to rule out the Brazilian national’s
sale for the right fee.
“The amount Flamengo were offering, before the New Year, was embarrassing. We are looking for an appropriate offer.” Giner said
Although Leonid Slutsky, the Koni manager, sent the Brazilian national back to his childhood club on a season-long loan spell last year in a bid to freshen up his mind, the veteran striker requested the manager for a permanent
transfer.
The Russian tactician was resigned to losing the prized asset during the winter transfer window.
''I'm ready to lose him. Vagner can leave CSKA," Slutsky said.
Love, who joined the Moscow-based club from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Palmeiras-c40165 back in 2004, has had good stint with the Russian outfit, having scored 79 goals in 158 appearances and winning the Russian Premier League twice.
Following Seydou Doumbia’s blistering European and domestic form, Love struggled to find more first team chances. And that only added to his desire of moving back to Brazil.
“I do have a great desire to return to Brazil. I hope that happens and I go back to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Brazil-c2858 to do what I like doing the most in my life, which is to play football.” Love had said.
