Yevgeny Giner tips CSKA Moscow to strengthen and urges the Russian outfit to hold on to Seydou Doumbia if they are to win the Russian Premier League this season.
CSKA Moscow had a flying start to the Russian Premier League campaign this season, but they were leapfrogged by Zenit St. Petersburg as they failed to continue their impressive league form in the second round.
The Koni president, Yevgeny Giner, has admitted that the Moscow-based club are negotiating with different players to reinforce the squad and highlighted the importance of the upcoming winter transfer window.
"We are negotiating with a maximum of six players, but how many of them will accept the offer is difficult to say. There are positions that need to be strengthened. For example, we want to sign a strong defensive midfielder, but
you don’t find a good player in that position very often.” The President was quoted as saying.

that they need players in almost every position.
“We need a defender, midfielder and striker. In each line, we have 2 candidates.” Giner concluded.
However, the president refused to specify any names and revealed that he does not want to disrespect any player by making any comments which could lead to controversies.

However, Giner shrugged off the rumours linking the midfielder to the Moscow-based club, and revealed that CSKA will announce a signing as soon as it happens.
