Zenit St. Petersburg’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Vladimir-Bystrov-c36328 believes that CSKA Moscow have decent players to replace Sergei Ignashevich, Seydou Doumbia and Alan Dzagoev
CSKA Moscow will be without the services of veteran defender, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Seydou-Doumbia-c33175, when they host Zenit St. Petersburg at Luzhniki stadium on Saturday.
Ignashevich and Dzagoev will see the upcoming match from the sidelines as they both picked up a straight red card in CSKA’s 3-1 defeat against Amkar Perm. Doumbia, on the other hand, is recovering from a back injury.
However, Zenit’s Vladimir Bystrov is of the view that the Moscow-based club are capable of upsetting the Russian Premier League champions in the upcoming crunch league tie as they have enough quality in their squad.
There is little arguing to the statement that CSKA suffered heavily after http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/VVV-Venlo-c40915 and AZ Alkmaar soon after selling
the Brazilian striker.
The Moscow-based club, meanwhile, signed groomed players like http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/AZ-c38571 Alkmaar and Anderlecht respectively.
Bystrov insisted that CSKA have a decent squad, and the players they have signed, are capable of replacing the trio which is not likely to take part in Saturday’s mouth-watering encounter due to injuries and suspension.
The former Spartak Moscow player managed to score a goal in Zenit’s 2-0 win against Dynamo Moscow. Bystrov expressed his delight upon scoring his first goal for the St. Petersburg club this season.
“I do not think CSKA will have a major problem in replacing the players. Of course, they are strong players, but CSKA have players who can replace the missing trio. Each player can take a leadership role for themselves.” The Russian
Cup winner was quoted as saying.
Asked whether he will be surprised if CSKA fails to secure a UEFA Champions League berth this season, Bystrov insisted that he will not make any premature judgements at the start of the season.
