I agree...I enjoy watching HNIC on Saturdays and hearing that song. Why can't CTV try and be original? Saturday night games are special...that's why we need a special song. And CBC was even offering one last chance for a deal.

I just heard the hockey theme on TSN...it was wrong. You could just tell TSN was waiting to snatch it up. The guy sounded so rehearsed and corny. WHy can't they be original?

I think it should have stayed with CBC. People with low incomes can watch CBC without a cable box or satellite dish. This truly brings hockey to the whole nation and people of all social backgrounds can sit and enjoy one great game.

I sorry if CTV can be watched without cable or satellite 'cuz I'm not quite sure.
