Hey I'm just wondering what happened last September?  If I recall correctly the Cubs made a run at the Brewers last year and they made the playoffs.  Not the Brewers, not the Cardinals, the Cubs made the playoffs.  Yes they got swept in the first round, but it's better then not even making it.  So all this Completely Useless By September talk makes no sense and is a saying used by completely clueless fans.  Why is everyone making a big fuss over a 4 game losing streak?  They haven't lost more then 4 games all season long.  Do you people not understand that it's a 162 game season and EVERY team goes through small slumps.  They played a solid Phillies team and they caught the Astros while they're playing the best baseball they've played all season.  It happens.  Also the Cubs have about 23 games left, they have a 4.5 game lead in the division and even if they somehow lost the lead to the Brewers then they still have a 10 game lead over the 2nd best wild card team.  It would take a major COLLAPSE for them to not make the playoffs.  I just don't see it happening.  So you doubters can say what you want to about the Cubs but most of you just sound like idiots when you talk about them because for some reason you feel the past has anything to do with the present.

Now, they are going through a slump, that's all. Its part of playing sports. i think they will be fine. Milwaukee has lost 2 tough ones in a row, they are not done either. It will be a fight to the end, just like it should be.

No way, maybe they choke in the playoffs, but theres no way they collapse in the regular season.  They probably have the best team in the majors, so i don't think they will collapse.
