CURiOUS QUESTiON??????????/?

Question

so.. i wear a scarf outside...obviously cauz im muslim....but it seems odd to me that when i didnt wear a scarf be4 and i had my hair up in a ponytail...not too many guys would look at me....but now that i wear a scarf...guys are constantly looking at me up and down. last time i went outside...i wore a long white babydoll dress with skinny jeans and flats...and i found it awkward that they were constantly lookin at me when there were so many girls with revealing clothes.

but my question is that...if i wear a scarf...that completley covers my hair...why would they look at me in such a way? when be4 guys didnt really look at me much?

erm. maybe they were looking becouse they never seen a muslim (i kno one is school) and they r wondering y u r wearing it.

I think it's just cause the scarf is eye-catching. There was this lady at the mall in Vegas that had one on, and everyone's eyes (including mine) seemed to just follow. Maybe it's because they've never seen a girl in a traditional Muslim scarf.

Guys like to be teased. Wearing your scarf does that for them, ackwardly, but it does.

they aren't looking at you in the way you think.  they are looking at you because you are wearing somethign that is out of place to what everyone else is wearing.  They aren't "interested" in you in a bf/gf way..../

they look at you because you are different from them and they aren't used to seeing someone like that. that's like if someone runs around with an offensive shirt or something.  people look out of curiosoty, not to "check you out"

because americans are used to seeing girls half naked.. it part of them.. when they see a girl with a scarf covered up.. its instinct to look at someone and thei culture that they are unknown or know little about... pretty much its instinct .... i mean when your walking down the street and you see a woman walking down with a bikini a man would automatically look at her.. instinct.. same with curiosity

I'm really not sure why males look at you differently when you wore a head scarf, to be honest.

But I'm curious. What does the head scarf symbolize in your religion? I have always wondered that. Well, if you can answer that, that would be really helpful.

i really doubt they were checking you out.

hate to break it to you but people are effing rude, and if they see someone who is different or is wearing something they're not used to, they're just going to stare.

Ahh...see the guys will want to see and are curious about whatever women won't show to them.

In modern world people are so open, and women wear so little, there is not much secret left. But you wearing the scarf, give the guys the idea that there is a mystery to solve.
