CV - Education: should you write subjects in order of grades?

and can you always lie in a CV because some subject grades on my cv are embaressing.

  1. Yes, write your results in order of the grade, it looks good and most institutes recommend it! Try and put your English and Maths as high up as possible as well.

    I include all of my subjects and grades because even if I got a poor mark I still worked hard for all of the subjects I studied, its not advisable to miss subjects off.

    You can bend the truth a little when explaining the details of previous jobs (ie saying you had more responsibilities than you did) but not an out and out lie because they will catch you out, good luck x


  2. personally, i only write grades down that count as passes. so if youre referring to GCSEs, just write down any you got that are from A* to C. if its A levels and things, you coul write any down that are A to D. i dont think its a good idea to lie on you CV either, because the person you give it to could quite easily find out youve lied. and then youre less likely to get the job or whatever youve applied for because they dont think they can trust you.

    it doesnt really matter what order you write the grades down in, but i always put the highest grades at the top of the list =)
