CX210x aka M285 Tablet PC Not working Properly! Please help!?

Hi, I have a Gateway CX210X and I recently replaced the screen with a new one. Now the tablet functions does not work. The screen does not recognize the pen and I can not put the notebook to sleep or turn it off properly. When I shut down, the computer idles and I have to hold onto the POWER button for about 5 seconds in order to turn the computer off. Can ya please help me out? Thanks!

  1. A little more info would be helpful.

    First, did YOU replace the screen or did you send it in to Gateway or some other dealer for service?   You will need to confirm that the correct screen was used.  A regular laptop screen will not be correct.  This TabletPC will either require a Finepoint or Wacom technology screen, depending on the system Gateway used.

    Second, if it was sent in for repair did they reload your OS fresh on your HDD?  If so, did they reload the proper OS (XP Tablet Edition if using XP)?
