    16-18 oyster card only allows free bus travel concession.

    It will also take half the price off for a london underground journey or any other national rail journey that now permits oyster PAYG technology, which are only a handful of commuter belt lines in the city.

    Your best bet is to invest in a Young Persons Railcard if using national rail, costs £25 and gives you 1/3 off the total amount for a ticket, well worth the value if you travel a lot.
