Cabaye thrilled by derby goal

Newcastle United midfielder http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Yohan-Cabaye-c37423 was delighted by his derby goal against Sunderland and believes it is his best goal in a Newcastle jersey to date.
The French midfielder scored the opener in the Wear-Tyne derby this past weekend, and was delighted at having found the back of the net.
Newcastle had taken the lead in the opening minutes of the game, but found themselves down to 10 men after a reckless tackle by Cheick Tiote.
The midfield enforcer had rushed into what was deemed to be a reckless, studs-up challenge on a Sunderland player. The Ivorian was shown a red card and given his marching orders by referee Atkinson.
The Magpies spent the remainder of the game defending against wave after wave of Sunderland attacks, and managed to hold on to their lead.
However, they were unable to add to their lead, and soon found themselves on level footing as John O’Shea’s 85th minute header deflected off http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Demba-Ba-c10812 and went in goal. Tim Krul could only look helplessly as the ball found the back of the net,
and the Black Cats levelled the score.
Manager http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alan-c4244 Pardew was still upbeat about the result, and believes his side showed strong character and a spirited derby display. The manager would have a point any day over none, especially if it’s against Newcastle’s fierce local rivals.
Cabaye was also pleased with the result,and delighted by his goal. The player believes his goal against the Black Cats was his best in a Magpie jersey. Speaking to reporters, he said:
“For me, it was a great start, and for the team as well. I was really happy to score my first goal of the season and my first derby goal.”
“It's the best moment since I came to Newcastle. It was a great moment and when I saw the fans, they were going crazy so for me.I know how important this match is for the club, for the fans, for the city, for everyone who supports Newcastle.”
“I play for Newcastle so for me, the goal is really important. It means everything for everyone, and for me."
