I posted this question in the wrong section, under "other recreation"

Does anyone have any experience with this item?

Is it really large enough to take a shower in?

It's a tent that they claim will hold a porta potty and double as a shower when needed.

  1. This is a 'factory made'unit.  I have not used this specific unit but have on occassion used others, both commercial and 'homemade'.

Remember that MOST showers are only 30"x30".

The factory units usually have ALL the needed parts including the shower unit, and cost about 3 to 4 times what a homemade unit would cost IF parts are available locally.

I have been making my own shower units with 'vynl' tarps and a metal frame from tubing for years. (Even in 'backpack' carryable types!)

Basically, you need come EMT tubing, joints that are easily fabricated if not available locally, and a 12'X8' foot tarp and some line to tie it to the frame. Depending on the tarp, you may need to add more grommets around the upper edge to tie it with.

Then you need some type of water feed unit and a shower head.
