It had been featured in Worlds Strongest Man and other events. You get Highland Games in other parts of the world.

Worlds Strongest Men have competed in the Highland Games.

In fact some of the Worlds Strongest Man events are modelled on those from the Highland Games (weight over the bar and the lifting stones for example).

It's not a telegraph pole but a long wooden tree pole, which is called a caber.
