Cabin Crew / Flight Attendant Wage - V Australia?

Hoping 4 some solid information & advice here. Had an interview last week for the newly formed V Australia airline which will commence ops in Dec '08 flying SYD-LAX.

My dilemma is this. I think I did quite well at interview - progressed to the final round and may well be offered a job. My issue is as a snr nurse - I currently have a job earning over $100K annually. I also have 5 kids and a big a$$ mortgage so money is a factor. On the day of interview "V" suggested a minimum wage of $37500 (ouch) plus living away expenses of $8-12K.

My questions therefore are:

1. Is there any1 out there working for Virgin Blue who can tell me accurately how much they earn? Optimally if you could tell me a TAKE HOME figure (after tax) per fortnight that would be brilliant.

2. Does anyone know the difference in pay rate for the roles of Cabin Leader and Flight Manager?

I would really like to take this job (if offered) but obviously finances are an issue. Appreciate your help

i wouldn't do it if i were you, as you already know the pay will be well below what you're making now.
